Shannon has been hand fabricating sterling silver jewelry since 2016.
It began with wire wrapping natural shaped stones and quartz points, then after taking my first metal fabrication class at a local community college, I was hooked on metalsmithing. With the basics under my belt, I took to the school of YouTube to learn more techniques and got to practice with copper and brass, and then finally sterling silver.
After making my first few pieces and selling them at a local craft fair, I dove into more complex pieces of jewelry and made my first bolo tie. It was then that I learned my great grandfather had been a silversmith, rockhound, and lapidarist. I was gifted a bolo tie that he made in 1964 and decided to use his style of back clasp for my own bolos. I have been inspired by his work and am proud to carry on the family tradition.
I make all of my jewelry from my small studio in Orange County, California with stones sourced from miners, rockhounds, and lapidary artists throughout the southwestern United States. I hope every piece of jewelry that you purchase becomes an heirloom piece to be cherished for years.
